Wasatch Pediatric Neuropsychology offers specialized neuropsychological consultation and assessment services for children, adolescents, and young adults. Our team, including Dr. Julien Smith, Dr. Lara Leishman, Dr. Heidi Mucha, Dr. Laura Rowley, and Sara Mathis, M.Ed., provides both comprehensive and targeted evaluations for individuals with known or suspected neurological injuries, developmental disorders, and learning challenges.

We serve children and teens with a variety of conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, neurological or genetic disorders, hematology/oncology conditions, chronic medical conditions, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, sensory disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, tic or movement disorders, language disorders, and complex psychiatric conditions. Our evaluations are designed to identify strengths and weaknesses, clarify diagnoses, and guide interventions and educational planning.

For children with learning or attention concerns, we offer targeted evaluations that assess specific learning disorders in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as ADHD or anxiety and depressive disorders. For those with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder, we provide evaluations that examine current and historical symptoms, intellectual functioning, and developmental needs to support accurate diagnosis and access to intervention services.

A neuropsychological evaluation provides a detailed understanding of a child’s cognitive, behavioral, psychological, and social functioning.
