Timpanogos Speech Clinic – Helping Children Reach Their Full Communication Potential

At Timpanogos Speech Clinic, we believe every child deserves to be understood. Located in Highland, Utah, our clinic provides personalized speech and language therapy designed to help children reach their full communication potential. With more than 30 years of experience, Speech-Language Pathologist Denise Stratton brings deep expertise and compassion to every session.

Timpanogos Speech Clinic specializes in speech sound disorders, apraxia, myofunctional therapy, language and reading disorders (including dyslexia), fluency, and autism spectrum support. Denise focuses on uncovering the “missing pieces” that interfere with a child’s communication progress, addressing the root causes rather than just surface symptoms. We treat children from 18 months to 18 years.

Each child is viewed as a whole individual—with unique motor, sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs. Through careful observation and a sequence-based learning approach, Denise helps children make consistent, lasting progress in a supportive and positive environment. Therapy sessions are purposeful yet engaging, using fun, evidence-based methods that make learning feel natural. Denise has invested in gaining additional education and certifications in order to understand the root causes of speech and language disorders. This helps her treat difficult disorders more effectively, and with lasting results. This education includes:

• Certified in Hanen More Than Words (for autism spectrum support)

• Certified in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (for treating tongue posture & articulation)

• Trained in PROMPT (for articulation/apraxia)

• Certified in Natural Language Acquisition for Gestalt Language Processing (for autism spectrum support)

• Trained in That Reading Thing (a speech to print method for treating reading disorders)• Trained in Buteyko Breathing Re-education (to correct mouth

breathing, thus improving articulation, attention, & focus).
