No Sweat Nature Study is a science curriculum designed by Cindy West, an experienced educator with a master’s degree in education. Through live or recorded video lessons, Cindy teaches real science across topics like zoology, botany, earth science, weather, and space. Each lesson is packed with meaningful content, engaging instruction, and science vocabulary that’s easy to understand and remember.
As Cindy teaches, students create a nature journal page to reflect what they’re learning. These pages become creative and helpful tools for both understanding and review. Each lesson is rich in content and completely free of busywork, making it easy to engage with science in a meaningful way.
Because of its simplicity and adaptability, the program works well for busy families, those teaching multiple ages at once, and even those with children who are reluctant or resistant to learning. It’s equally effective for learners who thrive with structure, need a gentler approach, or are ready to stretch their understanding. Students are encouraged to observe closely, think deeply, and discover how science connects to the world around them.
For those who want to dig deeper, each lesson also includes optional extras such as a nature walk prompt, a hands-on activity, a kid-friendly research project, a themed book list, a vocabulary printable, and a podcast episode that connects to the topic. All of these resources are available to extend or enrich the experience, but none are required.
No Sweat Nature Study makes it easy for children to learn real science in a way that’s engaging, flexible, and rooted in the world around them!
