At Michelle Tew Piano Studio, I believe that every child deserves a musical experience that is engaging, confidence-building, and tailored to their individual learning style. Located in Nibley, my studio provides a warm, supportive environment where students can thrive as they develop strong musical foundations and a genuine love for piano.
Each student learns differently, which is why I use a variety of method books and choose materials that fit your child’s interests and strengths. To keep learning enjoyable, I incorporate games, themes, and incentives throughout the year. These activities not only make lessons fun, but also reinforce essential skills in rhythm, note reading, theory, and technique. Students are rewarded for practicing, staying on track, and arriving prepared—something they look forward to each week.
All music and supplies are provided, eliminating extra errands for families and giving students the excitement of choosing pieces that reflect their personality, especially for recitals and repertoire.
Performance is an important part of musical growth, so we hold recitals twice a year, typically before Christmas and in the spring. Sharing what they’ve learned helps students build confidence, develop stage presence, and celebrate their hard work.
Lessons take place once a week for 30 minutes, and students are expected to practice at home at least five days a week. Parents play a meaningful role by helping establish a consistent practice routine, encouraging progress, reviewing assignments, and supporting their child’s musical journey.
Whether your child is just beginning or continuing their musical education, my goal is to nurture their developing talents while keeping their growing minds engaged. I’m committed to helping each student succeed in a positive, structured, and joyful learning atmosphere.
