Kumon of Layton provides individualized math and reading programs for students from preschool through high school. The center uses the Kumon Method to help students develop foundational academic skills, strengthen study habits, and progress through concepts at their own pace. Each student receives an individualized learning plan based on their current abilities and learning needs.
The Kumon Math Program covers skills ranging from counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to fractions, graphs, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, probability, and statistics. The Reading Program develops pre-reading skills, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation, sentence building, and reading comprehension. Students work toward mastering each concept before advancing to the next level.
Kumon emphasizes daily practice and independent learning. Students typically attend classes twice a week while completing assignments at home on other days. The program is designed to help students address learning gaps, strengthen critical thinking, and become more confident in working through challenging academic material independently.
Kumon of Layton also offers Kumon Connect, a digital option that allows students to complete worksheets on a tablet with a stylus while giving parents the ability to view their child’s progress history. Families can begin with a free assessment that includes a placement test. The instructor reviews the results with parents and recommends an appropriate starting point based on the student’s current learning level. There is no obligation to enroll.
