Courageous Corner provides child and family therapy focused on strengthening relationships, building coping skills, and helping families navigate life’s challenges. Led by Andrea Moore, LCSW, RPT, the practice serves children ages two and up, as well as teens and adults. Its approach emphasizes the bonds that connect families and supports meaningful, lasting change through compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Children and teens may experience overwhelming stress that affects their behavior, emotional well-being, and relationships. Challenges such as tantrums, withdrawal, yelling, and difficulties with peers can place strain on family connections. Courageous Corner helps children and families work through these concerns by developing supportive tools, improving understanding, and encouraging healthier patterns of interaction.
Andrea Moore has training and education in child and family development and is a Registered Play Therapist. The practice addresses concerns including ADHD, depression, anxiety, adoption, attachment difficulties, and trauma. Therapeutic approaches include play therapy, art, self-expression, sand tray therapy, EMDR, and attachment-focused therapies. These methods offer different ways for clients to explore emotions, process difficult experiences, and work toward healing.
Services include individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, parent consultations, initial intake appointments, and teletherapy. Parent consultations are required as part of the initial intake process, helping establish an understanding of the family’s needs before beginning treatment. Teletherapy allows clients to access services from the comfort of home.
Courageous Corner recognizes that changing established habits and coping strategies can take courage, particularly when family relationships are strained. Through individualized support and gentle therapeutic approaches, the practice aims to help clients build stronger connections, develop practical tools, and experience renewed hope and joy.
