Davis Music Academy is a piano-based music education program in Layton, Utah, serving children and families throughout Davis County. With more than 15 years of experience, the academy has provided tens of thousands of music lessons through a structured curriculum designed to help students build strong musical foundations while developing a lasting love of music.
The academy offers age-specific group classes for young beginners, with courses tailored to different developmental stages, learning styles, and attention spans. As students grow, private lessons provide one-on-one instruction customized to each student’s pace, goals, and level of experience. Teachers focus on progressive skill development while helping students understand and retain concepts rather than simply memorizing notes and songs.
Davis Music Academy’s curriculum incorporates important elements of musicianship, including piano technique, music theory, solfège, ear training, sight-reading, and progressive skill-building. This comprehensive approach is intended to give students a deeper understanding of music and the tools to continue advancing as musicians.
Performance is also an important part of the academy experience. Students participate in four recitals throughout the year, giving them regular opportunities to demonstrate their progress, gain valuable stage experience, and build confidence performing for an audience. Advanced students may also participate in competitions and other performance opportunities.
Whether a child is beginning piano for the first time or working toward advanced musical goals, Davis Music Academy combines structured instruction, qualified teachers, age-appropriate learning, and a supportive community to help students develop both musical ability and confidence.
