Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their potential in an environment that recognizes their individual strengths and needs. For children who require intensive behavioral support alongside academic instruction, an integrated approach can help ensure that educational progress continues while important developmental skills are being strengthened.
Utah Behavior Services Academy combines Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with individualized academic instruction and behavioral support for children and young adults ages 3 to 22. The program is designed for students who may need more individualized attention than a traditional school setting can provide, including learners with autism and other developmental needs.
Academic instruction is tailored to each student’s abilities, learning goals, and, when applicable, Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives. Students receive support in foundational subjects such as reading, writing, and mathematics, alongside opportunities to develop communication, social, behavioral, and functional life skills.
A collaborative team of educators, behavior analysts, and behavioral health professionals works together to coordinate learning and treatment goals. One-on-one support from trained behavior technicians helps students practice skills throughout the day, while ongoing progress monitoring allows the team to adjust instruction and identify areas for continued growth.
Family involvement and coordination with public schools are also important parts of the program. These partnerships help create greater consistency across learning environments and support transitions toward traditional school settings or increased independence.
By bringing education and behavioral services together, the academy offers families an integrated option for children who need additional support to thrive. The focus is on meaningful academic development, practical life skills, and individualized progress that helps each student work toward their personal goals.
