Pencil Box Art Studio is a children’s art studio in Millcreek, Utah, where kids can explore creativity, experiment with different materials, and develop confidence through process-based art. Rather than focusing on creating a perfect finished product, the studio encourages children to enjoy the experience of making art, try new ideas, make mistakes, and discover their own creative voice.
Programs are designed for children from ages 1 through 11 and include Process Playgroups for toddlers, Preschool Creative Club, Process Art Classes, Fun Fridays, Art Nights, and seasonal camps. Classes incorporate a variety of artistic mediums and hands-on activities, giving children opportunities to paint, sculpt, build, experiment, and create without the pressure of following a single right way to make art.
The studio also offers special events and art parties for children ages 3–11. Birthday celebrations combine multiple creative projects with sensory and water play, giving children an engaging experience while making it easier for parents to enjoy the celebration without managing the activities and cleanup themselves.
With a teaching team that includes experienced educators, art professionals, and child-focused instructors, Pencil Box Art Studio creates a welcoming environment where children can feel safe exploring their creativity. The studio also offers programming through its Utah County location in Alpine, expanding access to its creative learning experience for families beyond Millcreek.
For families looking for more than traditional step-by-step art instruction, Pencil Box provides an opportunity for children to get messy, make friends, experiment freely, and discover the joy of creating.
