Mathnasium of Cottonwood Heights provides personalized math instruction for students from kindergarten through high school. Using the Mathnasium Method™, the learning center helps students strengthen foundational skills, address gaps in understanding, and develop confidence in mathematics. Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment to evaluate their current math knowledge and identify areas for improvement. Based on the results, the team develops a personalized learning plan designed to help the student build essential skills and progress toward greater mathematical understanding. Instruction focuses on developing strong foundations while gradually expanding students’ problem-solving abilities and mathematical thinking.
The center offers programs for learners at different stages of their education. Early childhood instruction introduces preschool and kindergarten students to foundational math concepts through playful, hands-on activities that encourage number sense, curiosity, and confidence. Elementary school programs help students develop core skills, while middle and high school students can receive support as they work through more advanced mathematical concepts. The center also offers Mathnasium Plus, an enrichment option for high-achieving students who are ready to move beyond grade-level math and develop advanced thinking skills.
In addition to foundational instruction and enrichment, Mathnasium provides math homework support and test preparation. Its math-focused learning environment is designed to help students improve their understanding, become more comfortable with challenging concepts, and build skills that support classroom learning. The center reports that 94 percent of surveyed parents noticed improvements in their children’s math skills and understanding, 93 percent reported a better attitude toward math, and 90 percent of students improved their school grades.
