Now I Can Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children with disabilities reach their full potential and achieve greater independence through specialized physical therapy. With locations in Orem, Utah, and Lititz, Pennsylvania, the organization provides individualized treatment programs designed to help children develop functional abilities, work toward developmental milestones, and improve movement.
A central part of Now I Can’s approach is its Intensive Model of Therapy. During a three-week intensive session, children receive four hours of physical therapy per day, five days a week. Therapists create tailored programs for each child, using repetition and specialized treatment techniques to support progress toward individual goals. The organization also accommodates local patients who need traditional weekly physical therapy visits.
Now I Can offers several therapeutic approaches to address different physical and neuromuscular needs. Suit Therapy uses a breathable, dynamic orthotic suit designed to improve proprioception, which is the body’s awareness of its position and movement. The Universal Exercise Unit helps children work toward skills such as crawling, sitting, walking, and jumping.
Manual therapy combines massage and pressure-point techniques to prepare the body for improved range of motion. Functional Electrical Stimulation, also known as E-Stim, uses electrical stimulation to encourage muscle movement and support muscle function and strength. Full Body Vibration provides neuromuscular re-education intended to improve communication between the brain and body.
The foundation’s therapists also receive training in a variety of specialized methods, models, and techniques to support children’s individual needs and developmental goals. By combining intensive treatment schedules with personalized therapy and specialized equipment, Now I Can aims to help children make meaningful progress toward greater functional ability.
Families can explore the foundation’s treatment options, review frequently asked questions and testimonials, and learn about available therapy grants. Free consultations are also offered to help families learn more about the program and determine whether it may be appropriate for their child.
