Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship & Career Readiness Programs for Utah Students

Junior Achievement of Utah provides hands-on educational programs that help students develop practical skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness. Serving students from kindergarten through high school, the organization connects classroom learning with real-world experiences and introduces young people to the skills and decisions they will encounter in their personal and professional lives.

Classroom programs are available for elementary, middle, and high school students. Lessons cover topics such as money management, economics, budgeting, saving, investing, entrepreneurship, career exploration, decision-making, and workplace skills. Programs are delivered with the support of trained community volunteers who bring professional experience and real-world perspectives into the learning environment.

Experiential learning is a major component of the program. JA City offers immersive simulations where students take on roles such as business owners, employees, community leaders, and consumers. Through experiences such as BizTown and Finance Park, students manage budgets, operate businesses, make financial decisions, and experience how individual choices can affect a larger community.

Career-focused opportunities help students explore different professions, understand workplace expectations, identify personal strengths, and consider pathways for education and employment after high school. Special events and career experiences can further connect students with local businesses and professionals.

The organization also offers camps and additional educational opportunities that reinforce leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and business-management skills.

For schools, educators, families, and community partners looking to help young people prepare for adulthood, these programs provide engaging ways to develop financial confidence, entrepreneurial thinking, career awareness, and practical decision-making skills.
