Park City Day School provides independent education for toddlers through eighth grade, with programs spanning early childhood, elementary school, and middle school. Its curriculum combines academic instruction with hands-on, project-based learning designed to develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
The Early School program serves children ages two through five and follows a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early childhood education. Learning activities emphasize exploration, play, literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and child-led projects that encourage curiosity and independent thinking.
The Lower School serves kindergarten through fifth grade, integrating subjects through experiential projects and core academic instruction in literacy, mathematics, science, and writing. Students also participate in specialist classes that include Spanish, visual arts, performing arts, music, physical education, and science laboratory experiences.
The Middle School program, for grades six through eight, combines core academic subjects with electives, leadership opportunities, service learning, and collaborative projects. Students develop independent learning habits, communication skills, and readiness for high school through increasingly challenging academic work.
Outdoor education is an integral part of the school’s programming. Students participate in outdoor learning experiences and educational trips that connect classroom concepts with the natural environment while developing resilience, teamwork, and environmental awareness. Social-emotional learning is also incorporated through the school’s Strive for Five core values, which emphasize respect, responsibility, compassion, integrity, and teamwork.
With small class sizes, specialized instruction, arts enrichment, and experiential learning across grade levels, Park City Day School offers a comprehensive educational program focused on academic growth, personal development, and community engagement.
