Equine-Assisted Learning and Confidence-Building Programs for Girls and Women

Bridle Up Hope offers empowering equine-assisted learning experiences designed to help girls and women build confidence, resilience, self-worth, and practical life skills through horseback riding, personal development, and service. With locations in Utah and other communities, the program combines the connection between humans and horses with lessons inspired by The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to encourage personal growth in a supportive environment.

The Girls’ Experience is a 14-week program for participants ages 12–21, while the Women’s Experience offers a seven-week program for women ages 22 and older. Participants receive individualized riding instruction from a mentoring instructor, allowing beginners to develop foundational horsemanship skills while building trust, patience, and confidence. No previous horseback riding experience is required.

Personal development is woven throughout each experience. Participants explore leadership, goal-setting, self-awareness, communication, healthy relationships, responsibility, and positive decision-making through guided lessons and practical activities. The program encourages participants to apply these principles both in the saddle and in their everyday lives.

Service at the barn is another essential component. Participants help care for horses and maintain the barn, creating opportunities to develop work ethic, teamwork, friendships, and a sense of contribution. Additional activities and community connections help foster belonging and personal renewal.

The organization also offers scholarship assistance for eligible participants experiencing financial need, helping make these experiences more accessible to families and individuals.

For girls and women seeking opportunities for personal growth, meaningful relationships, and greater confidence, these programs provide a unique combination of horsemanship, life-skills education, mentorship, and service. The experience is designed to inspire hope and help participants recognize their strengths and potential.
