edZOOcation offers wildlife education boxes designed to make learning about animals, ecosystems, and conservation interactive and engaging. Each monthly subscription introduces children to a new endangered or conservation-focused animal through a collection of age-appropriate educational materials and hands-on activities. The program is designed for children ages 3–12, with different boxes tailored to developmental stages and interests.
Every box features an animal plush, a story-filled edZOOcation book, an ecosystem poster, an activity magazine, a craft or activity, and a paper dissection kit. The materials are curated by age to help children explore wildlife through play, creativity, science, and discovery. The monthly format gives families a new animal to learn about while creating opportunities for children to engage with educational activities at home.
edZOOcation offers three subscription options. The Zookeeper Box is designed for ages 3–5 and features activities focused on shapes, colors, counting, and conservation. The Zoologist Box serves ages 6–8 and incorporates conservation, art, math, science, and technology. For children ages 9–12, the Conservationist Box includes STEAM-based activities intended to encourage critical thinking and conservation skills.
Conservation is an important part of the edZOOcation experience. A portion of every box supports the conservation partner featured that month, allowing children’s wildlife adventures to contribute to real-world conservation efforts. The company reports that its boxes have helped generate more than $90,000 in donations to wildlife conservation.
edZOOcation was founded by Jenny Curtis, a zoologist and animal educator with experience working with veterinarians, zoos, and conservation organizations. Curtis also founded an exotic animal education company and rescue and has experience rehoming more than 250 animals. Her education includes degrees and training in organismal biology, wildlife education, exotic animal care and management, and animal behavior management.
Through monthly wildlife themes, hands-on activities, and conservation giving, edZOOcation connects children’s natural curiosity about animals with meaningful educational experiences and opportunities to learn how wildlife and ecosystems can be protected.
